A Beautician is someone who does hair styling, gives manicures and pedicures, massages, and other beauty treatments to other individuals.

How to become a Beautician:

1. Attend Cosmetology School: The first thing you will need to do, is find a Cosmetology or Beauty school in your area. The period of the courses differ depending on your location, but usually they run between nine months to two years. 2. Take Business: It is very beneficial to take a business management or accounting course in order for you to understand business more. This could be extremely helpful if you would like to open up your own beauty salon one day, as the majority of beauticians are self-employed.

3. Licensing: You will need to do research and find out the licensing requirements listed for your state/province's board of cosmetology. This is done to ensure that you are covering everything that needs to be covered, in order for you to become a Beautician.
